Indian Culture Day in celebration of the 61st anniversary of Republic Day of India

February 7, 2011 in the "Academichnyi Palace" students of Bukovinian State Medical University gathered for a celebration of Indian culture in celebration of the 61st anniversary of the Constitution of India and the proclamation of the Republic, which is celebrated annually on 26 January. 566 foreign students from 37 countries study in Bukovinian State Medical University! There are a lot of Indian students – 326 people.

The concert began with students' performance of anthem of India "DZHANHANMAN" and video about this country.

Traditionally, rector of BSMU Taras Boychuk and pro-rector of the Department of International Relations Alexander Ivaschuk congratulated Indian students.

Ukrainian students, teachers and guests had the opportunity to enjoy the bright concert and exquisite manners of Sunil Sharma and Katherine Serbenyuk, who conducted the celebration. Participants of the concert showed national coloring of India and its cultural diversity.

Every holiday or celebration in India starts with honoring guests with traditional welcome dance and flowers. Traditional Indian dances performed by foreign students, the fashion show, songs, pantomime, the rock band ... All this had left no one indifferent.
